PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor

Take your professional career as a diver to the next level and enrol in our training program to become a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. In doing this you will join a worldwide network of diving professionals that strive to uphold the highest level of training and professionalism. During this program you will be given the tools to succeed in the diving industry using the PADI system of diver education.


The PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor program is your final step in the quest to become a PADI Instructor.

During the PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor program you will cover aspects such as marketing and pricing to help you maximize your impact on the industry when you start your career. The key to success is experience and education and we will be there with you every step of the way guiding your progress and making sure that you receive the best possible instruction from the right people. We will provide you with the opportunity to expand on your qualification after this program and help you achieve all the goals that you are aiming for.


Prerequisites for training as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor:


  • PADI Assistant Instructor certification or be an instructor in good standing with another training organization for at least six months (check with a PADI Course Director or PADI Office for qualifying credentials.)
  • Hold a dive certification for at least six months
  • Have 60 logged dives that include night, deep and navigation dives
  • Medical clearance signed by a physician
  • Minimum of 18 years old
  • Proof of CPR training within the last 24 months



PADI Emergency First Response (EFR) Instructor

The Emergency First Response provides PADI professionals with the knowledge and ability to conduct the Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR), Secondary Care (First Aid) as well as Care for Children courses. This program also makes provision for those individuals who are already qualified as First Aid Instructors to complete an Instructor Cross Over course that recognizes their training experience and concentrates on the philosophy and structure of the EFR program while building confidence in use of the EFR system of education. Non-certified divers are also welcome!


Pre-Requisites:


  1. Have completed the Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) course within the past 24 months
  2. Have completed the Emergency First Response Secondary Care (First Aid) course within the past 24 months
  3. Have completed the Emergency First Response Care for Children course within the past 24 months.


* Practicing medical professionals (e.g. paramedics, EMTs, nurses, doctors) are not required to have completed the Emergency Fist Response Primary Care


(CPR), Secondary Care (First Aid) and Care for Children courses.

Although participating in these provider-level courses is beneficial, it isn’t required since professional medical training serves as an equivalent.
